Pudendal nerve is the main never of the pelvic region and supplies the pelvic floor muscles, the anal sphincter and the clitoris in people with vaginas and glans penis in people with penises. Impingement of the nerve can happen at various positions:
- Between the scarotuberous and sacrospinous lig
- In the Alcock’s canal
- Or due to overactive pelvic floor muscles (PFD)
Common symptoms are pain with sitting, burning sensation, in the vulva, pain in the clitoris etc.
